Why the Downgrade?
Shares of National Grid have dipped roughly 6.3% since the company reported its fiscal year 2013 (ended Mar 31 2013) results on May 16. Adjusted net earnings, in local currency, increased roughly 12% year over year on the back of 4% increase in revenue.

To add to this peril, long-term borrowings at the end of 2013 represented a year-over-year increase of 20%. Net cash flow generated from operating activities dipped 11% year over year.
In the last 60 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for National Grid has gone down by 6.1% to $4.00 for fiscal year 2014 and declined 10.3% to $4.26 for fiscal year 2015. The track record of the annual list is equally as impressive. Since the inaugural edition in 2003, "top stocks" have beaten the market 7 out of 10 years (the jury is still out on the current year). That beats the performance of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK) by one year during the same span.

Insurance companies are some of the best deals on the market right now, as many of them still trade below tangible book value. And considering that book value will rise more quickly as interest rates (and interest income) move higher in coming years, Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK) could afford to pay up to 1.25 times book value and still garner excellent long-term returns. Here's a quick list of insurers that fit the bill:

Now that the Sony (NYSE: SNE ) PlayStation 4 and the Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT ) Xbox One have launched in a large number of territories, attention turns to whether or not these systems will deliver the content necessary to create long-term success. As the Wii U from Nintendo (NASDAQOTH: NTDOY ) has demonstrated, hardware launches are often followed by long periods of software drought. Take this fact and combine it with the tendency of the first-quarter release window to be the weakest of the year from both the quality and the commercial standpoints and there is reason to suspect that 2014 will fall victim to undesirable trends. On the contrary, this year's first quarter will see the release of some very big games. One of them could even shape the outcome of the console wars.

A multiplayer mode allows players to team up on some massive projects, including a life-size U.S.S Enterprise, an entire recreation of Hyrule from Nintendo's (NASDAQOTH: NTDOY ) The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, and even a virtual version of Disney World.

Nintendo (NASDAQOTH: NTDOY ) has struggled mightily with its newest console, the Wii U, but its latest product also supportsused games. That gives GameStop a route to continue its current business with two of the three major consoles of this next generation. However, investors shouldn't count on Nintendo being a huge player in the future once Microsoft and Sony launch their new systems. The Wii U sold just 75,000 consoles in April, a double-digit fall from March. Worse, the console, released just last year, sold less than half the number of Xbox 360s or PlayStation 3s sold during the month -- and each of those consoles are at least six years old.

AP, Showtime From a high-end apparel retailer making a down-market move to the leading video service adding to its growing library, here are the wonders and blunders of the week. Amazon.com (AMZN) -- Winner Apple (AAPL) may have hit the market with the new iPad Air on Friday, but it was Amazon making the most of the launch -- to promote its own platform. Amazon has spent most of the week pushing its new 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HDX tablet at the top of the popular e-tailer's home page, pitting it against the iPad Air. Amazon points out that its Kindle Fire HDX is 20 percent lighter, packs 950,000 more pixels, and will set shoppers back $120 less than the somewhat comparable iPad Air. You have to admire Amazon's moxie here. Apple just moved more than 14 million iPads in its latest quarter -- and that was the older models during a non-holiday quarter. Amazon's willing to butt heads with the top brand in tablets, and it's doing it on a site that it knows will be getting very busy in the coming weeks as holiday shoppers begin to research the best tablet to buy this season. Well played, Amazon. lululemon ahtletica (LULU) -- Blunder When it comes to selling high-end yoga clothing, no one does it as well as lululemon athletica. Sure, there was that embarrassing episode earlier this year where its black Luon yoga pants were too sheer, resulting in the departure of its head of merchandising. However, how do you justify filling that opening by bringing in Kmart's head of apparel to be your new chief products officer? Kmart has struggled with years of declining comps, and it's a lackluster discount department store chain. Even if she was more than qualified for the gig, investor -- and more dangerously customer -- perceptions may mark down lululemon's image. Pitney Bowes (PBI) -- Winner Metered mail may be a fading industry, but that didn't stop Pitney Bowes from hitting a fresh 52-week high this week after posting encouraging quarterly results. Advisors' Opinion:- [By Sneha Shah]
Microsoft (MSFT) has been desperate to win a greater share of the mobile devices market as the computing industry migrates to smaller form factors. The PC market is starting to decline at a greater pace leading to huge problems for MSFT, which gets the majority of its revenues by selling OS and Office software to the PC market where it has a monopoly. MSFT launched Surface tablets last year to increase its penetration into this fast growing category. The company launched two variants - Surface Pro and Surface RT. The Surface Pro tablet ran on Intel (INTC) processors and worked on MSFT's traditional OS. The Surface RT on the other hand ran on ARM designed processors and ran a variant of Windows, which had some features missing. These products proved to be a massive failure as the pricing was too high and the performance was not as good. The Surface RT was a big disaster as it did not have MSFT's killer applications such as Outlook. Nvidia (NVDA) CEO said that the lack of Outlook was one of the main reasons for the failure of the Tegra 3 powered tablets. The company had to write down $900 million because of this failure. This was not a huge surprise given that MSFT's forays into the hardware market have been mostly unsuccessful. Major PC OEM's such as Samsung, Lenovo and now Asustek have also abandoned the Windows RT products. They don't see a bright future and would rather go with Intel-powered Windows products. Though MSFT seems to be prepping up a second-generation Surface RT tablet, the prospects do not seem too bright given MSFT's past track record.

NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA ) is cutting the price of its handheld Android gaming device -- NVIDIA Shield -- by $50 to $299.
The price cut is a smart thing. I was skeptical about the gadget's chances at $349. Despite the slick five-inch HD display and powerful NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, the machine was destined to flop at such a steep price.
